Alda N. Reyes lost her battle with illness on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the age of 92. Alda was born in Dallas, TX, to Manuel Carranza and Giselda Guedea Carranza. She was the eldest of four children. Alda married Frank Reyes, Jr. in Dallas in 1949.
While living in Dallas, Alda and Frank were blessed with their daughter, Donaji “Noni”. Alda loved her family, music, animals of any kind, dancing, casinos, Western movies, reading, lemon pie, and Whataburger!
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, step-father, Frank Reyes, Sr., husband, Frank Reyes, Jr., and brother Manuel Carranza. She is survived by her sisters, Juanita Escobedo and Sonia McMillon; her daughter and son-in-law, Noni and Neil Kirk; her granddaughter, Julie Varnell and husband, Matt Varnell; her great-grandson, Riley Varnell; and large extended family who loved her.
A graveside service for Alda will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
