

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Bicknell Robinson; parents, Guy and Jewel Robinson; brother, Boyd Robinson; and daughter-in-law, Diane Robinson.
Survivors include his sister, Billie Gilliam; daughter, Sandra Mayne and her husband Bill; son, Barney "Jay" Joe Robinson Jr; granddaughter, Kelsey Robinson Hackett and husband Colin; grandsons, Kevin Brinlee and wife Vicky, and Chantry Brinlee and wife Amy; great-granddaughter, Emily Brinlee; great-grandson, Asa Brinlee, along with four step great-grandsons, Jackson, Luke, Drew and Peter. He is also survived by many friends, cousins, nephews and nieces.
After serving his country and honorably discharged from the Air Force, he moved his wife and daughter to Commerce, Texas where he attended and received his Bachelor's Degree in business. He then relocated to Fort Worth where he was employed by Employer's Casualty Insurance as a claims adjuster, then as an employee with American Forestry Products.
In March of 1977, he was rewarded for all his hard work when he opened Barney Robinson Hardwoods and Lumber in Fort Worth. He and his wife, before she became ill, loved traveling and had visited most of the United States in their RV. He had been semi-retired for several years and was always happy visiting with family and friends.
He had a passion for TCU football, along with both playing and watching golf. He attended Sagamore Baptist Church.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Sagamore Baptist Church, Fort Worth, at 1:00 pm.
A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Sagamore Baptist Church, P.O. 8749, Fort Worth, TX 76124.
