Billy J. Mason

Bill Mason, 68, beloved husband, father and friend passed away peacefully at home in Hurst, TX on Monday, April 6, 2015. Bill was born February 23, 1947 in Princeton, IN. He spent much of his life in Indiana. After high school, Bill proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Bill was very outgoing, never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, loved exchanging ideas, engaging in wonderful conversations with friends and colleagues, and took great pride in the achievements of his children and grandchild. He especially loved watching his son play baseball. Bill retired from Beck’s Fire and Equipment in 2009. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James Mason and Georgie Mason, mother-n-law Diane Wilks and various aunts and uncles. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Wilks Mason, son, Mitchell Mason, daughter, Shannon (George) Maner, granddaughter, Emma Maner, niece, Whitney Martin, in-laws, Don and Laurie Wilks, sister-in-law, Stacey Wilks and many other family and friends.

Funeral services scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00am at First Baptist Colleyville with interment immediately following at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation scheduled at Bluebonnet Funeral Home, Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6-8pm.
