

Brenda Joyce Stephens, age 65, of Bedford passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She is preceded in death by her father, James B. Sticher and her step-father, J.R. Nicholson. Brenda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Edward Stephens; daughters, Tamara Stephens Stewart and husband Timothy Shane Stewart, and Teresa Stephens King and husband Aaron Douglas King; grandchildren, Mackenzie Kate Stewart, Malaney Blane Stewart, Braden Douglas King, and Avery Dawn King; mother, Helen Mae Nicholson; and her siblings; James B Sticher, Robert M Sticher, Michael Nicholson, Jacqueline Sticher Hood, Cheri Nicholson Martin, Lisa Kate Nicholson and a host of nieces and nephews. Brenda was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1951 and was raised in Texas. She graduated from Macarthur High School in Irving. She jumped into the work force and began working with Vecta Contract in Grand Prairie till her retirement in 2007. She was introduced to her husband, Ronald, in 1971. Six months later they were married. Together they raised their two daughters. Brenda loved to host parties, hang out with family, and play card games. She was very compassionate and would open her home to anyone. She adored her grandchildren and loved to tell everyone, “I love you more.” She was loved by many and will be missed. To honor her life, her family will host a memorial service at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10 am. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
