

Carolyn Benefiel Denny, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2021, in Southlake, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on July 27, 1941 in Washington, Indiana to George C. and Helen Clements Benefiel.
Carolyn enjoyed traveling throughout her lifetime. She and her husband, Ray, took many trips together including several trips to Paris, New York, the Caribbean, and Mexico. More recently, Carolyn traveled to Cozumel, Mexico to watch her son-in-law, Vernon and grandson, Wes compete in the Cozumel Ironman Competition. In 2015, Carolyn's adventures moved her to Hawaii with her daughter, Mary and son-in-law, Vernon. She was also so excited to finally see the Rocky Mountains in 2017 when her grandson, Wes married Jenna in Crested Butte, Colorado. Carolyn will also be remembered for her funny sense of humor and her legendary sweet tooth!!
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Mary Dede, of Colleyville, Texas; her grandson, Wes Dede and his wife, Jenna of Keller, Texas; her sister, Rene Gleissner and her husband John in Mishawaka, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond E. Denny and her son-in-law, Vernon L. Dede, Jr., and her parents, George C. and Helen Clements Benefiel of Indianapolis, Indiana.
A private interment will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
