Charlene pursued higher education with determination and purpose, earning a Masters degree from the University of North Texas. Her passion for learning and teaching led to a remarkable career at Tarrant County College South Campus, where she dedicated herself for almost 40 years. Her leadership and commitment culminated in her role as Department Chair, where she inspired generations of students and colleagues alike with her knowledge and compassion.
Beyond the classroom, Charlene was known for her selflessness and generosity. She was always there for anyone who needed her—offering comfort, support, or simply a listening ear. Her warmth extended far beyond her professional life into the hearts of those who knew her personally.
Charlene found great joy in spending time with her family. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Reza; her son David; granddaughters Brittany and Robin; great-granddaughter Penelope; niece Lindsey; and brothers Howard and Carl. Though she endured the profound loss of her daughters Deborah, Diana, and her sister Barbara during her lifetime, Charlene’s strength never wavered.
Her hobbies reflected the joy she found in simple pleasures—making music, crocheting intricate patterns with care, camping under open skies, shopping for treasures big and small, and most especially playing with her great-granddaughter, Penelope. These moments brought light to her days and created cherished memories for those around her.
A devoted Christian, Charlene expressed her faith through music—playing piano and singing in the church choir. Her voice lifted spirits each Sunday morning as she shared not only melodies but also hope and grace with fellow worshippers.
Charlene’s legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and enduring love. May her memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
