

Charles E. Cotten, Jr., a beloved husband, dad, granddad, great granddad, and brother went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. Charles was born in 1924 in Fort Worth. He was known for his caring heart and practical wisdom as well as dedication, honesty, integrity and unshakeable faith in God. Charles was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. He graduated from Paschal High School and also attended Texas Christian University. He served in the Navy during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. Charles retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after a long career. He loved the mountains and traveled there frequently. He was a member of Legacy Church of Christ in North Richland Hills and was active with the Primetimers group. Charles was known for his love of family and his unceasing devotion to his wife. Their deep and abiding love for each other will continue to inspire all who knew him. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clem Cotten and his sisters, Doris Kildow and Shirley Ruth Cotten.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eloise Cotten; daughter, Cynthia Ann Maloney and husband Keith of Allen, Tex.; grandchildren, Christopher Maloney and wife Christina of Mineola, Tex., and Laura Pierce and husband Jordan of Keller, Tex,; great grandchildren, Anastasia, Aubrielle, Adeleine and Andrew Maloney and Autumn and Austin Pierce; siblings, Martha Smith of North Richland Hills and Lee Cotten and wife Mary of Joshua, Tex. and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
