

Cheryl Ann Holland, 81, of Bentonville,AR., ( previously Grapevine/Flower Mound, TX) passed away March 24, 2026 , 5:28 a.m. at Circle of Life Hospice- Bentonville, AR. Cheryl was welcomed into heaven by her daughter Christine Dawson.
Cheryl was 1 of 12 children born to the union of Raymond and Rose Korte, Sept. 30, 1944 in Galena, IL.
She is survived by her husband John of Bentonville, AR., son Rick (spouse Melissa) of Justin, TX., daughter Lori Ann DuBois (spouse Terry) of Bentonville, AR., daughter Jennifer Mersberger (spouse Greg) of Flower Mound, TX. and son-in law Michael Dawson of Murphy, TX., sister Rita Orr and brothers Don and Roland Korte.
Left to cherish her memory are her 12 grandchildren, Krysti Moore, Bryan Brown (wife Kasey), Jordan Mersberger, Paige Mersberger, Andrew Dawson (wife Megan) Abbey Dawson (Chance Owens), Christopher Holland, Jonathan Holland, Jaeden Abbe, Bryton Abbe, Grant DuBois (wife Sarah) Hayden DuBois (wife Abbey Wells). She is also survived by her great grandchildren Jade Moore, Jaxson Moore, Harper Brown, Ali Brown, Charlotte DuBois and Cooper DuBois.
During some of her working years Cheryl was a talented, sought after Master Floral Designer. But her true calling was that as a Wife to John and mother to her children. As they traveled and lived in Illinois, Arizona and Texas due to John's career in aviation, Cheryl was the glue that held the family together, earning the tender nickname of " Sarge" lol. She enjoyed traveling and artistic crafting hobbies. Her handmade greeting cards were treasured by all who received them. Cheryl was a practicing Catholic who loved EWTN and watched Mass every Sunday. It was this faith that sustained her during this period of her life.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Brown, Jordan Mersberger, Andrew Dawson, Christopher Holland, Jonathan Holland and Chance Owens.
Visitation /Services will be at Bluebonnet Funeral Home April 8, 2026 from 11:30-1:30 followed by Funeral at 1:30 and burial at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Tullis and the staff at Circle of Life Hospice for their excellent care during this angelic transition of her life.
