Christopher Charles Pace was born in San Antonio on July 29, 1987. When Chris was 12 days old, he came to live with his forever family. He is the son of John & Diane Pace of Colleyville. He passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2022.
He attended Grapevine Colleyville schools and then graduated from Accommodated Learning Academy in February 2006.
He worked for many years doing vehicle oil changes and inspections. His most recent job was as a dock supervisor at a plant nursery. Although he never joined the military, he had a great respect for those in the military. His wardrobe always included references to support for our military and respect for veterans. He supported veteran-owned businesses and was very proud to be a native Texan.
Although Chris was a big quiet husky guy, he was really a very caring person. He loved animals and little kids. He helped many foster children who came to live in our home to adjust. Whenever a friend needed help, he was there immediately. When he was a teenager, he loved going on mission trips and retreats with the youth at FUMC Colleyville. He rescued several dogs and loved them dearly. His final sacrifice was to donate his organs to Life Gift to save other people's lives.
He is survived by his greatest love, his son Maverick who is 4 years old, his parents John and Diane Pace, sister Chelsea Hatchett (married to Jeremy Hatchett), sister Brittany Pace, nephew Ryder and Waylon Hatchett. He is also survived by 3 aunts- Betsy Owens, Cheryl Johnson (Jim), and Janis Ferrante (Robert), as well as many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Gift, the Tarrant County Vietnam Memorial Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Salvaged Souls Pet Rescue, or the Alliance for Children.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Monday, December 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034. Burial will be private.
A memorial service will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023, 11:00 AM at First Methodist Colleyville, 1000 Church St, Colleyville, TX 76034.
