

Clifford H Carlson, age 99, 500 North Tarrant Pkwy, Keller, TX passed away of natural causes on the morning of 21 April 2026. He was born in Aitkin, MN on 4 September 1926 to Oscar and Ella Carlson and graduated from Aitkin High School in 1943. He was married to Helen L Spencer on 14 May 1948.
After his war-time service in the Army Air-Corps where he attained the rank of Corporal, he returned to Aitkin and attended Aircraft Mechanic School in Minneapolis, MN where he graduated as a certified aircraft mechanic. He worked as an aircraft mechanic and auto mechanic until he was offered a job as forest ranger in the Spring of 1948. From that point in his life, he served at all levels in the Minnesota Forest Service until he retired as the Area Supervisor in Brainerd MN in the summer of 1988 with over 40 years of distinguished service.
He and mother built their retirement home just outside of Brainerd where they lived from 1988 to 2019. At that time, they moved to Keller TX in order to be closer to their eldest son. They lived in their own apartment in Keller until he entered the Lighthouse Residential Care Center on 1 April 2026. Cliff was an avid hunter and fisherman until he was into his 90’s, one of his favorite pastimes was spearing fish through the ice on one of the many lakes in Minnesota. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, receiving the Silver Beaver award after 53 years of continuous service. He was also an active member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
He is survived by his wife, Helen; eldest son, Bruce (Vicki Martens); son Dave (Patsy Lind) and daughter Barbara Lideen.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, 25 April 2026 at the Bransford building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He will be inurned at a later date in his community cemetery, Spencer Cemetery in Aitkin MN.
