

Daniel graduated from Odessa High School and attended classes at Odessa College while earning his Journeyman Electrician License under mentorship of Foreman Electric. He married Donna Jackson on September 16, 1977. He opened Daniel Electric Company in 1988 in Southlake, TX and earned his Master Electrician License. He was a member of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce and the Independent Electrical Contractors Association where he mentored numerous apprentice electricians throughout his career.
His passions included backpacking, water skiing, running, snow skiing, golf, fishing, scuba diving, hunting, gardening, fly fishing and traveling. He loved entertaining and cooking for friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna (Jackson) Taliaferro, his daughter Chelsea Kyger (Dustin Kyger), son Jeffrey Taliaferro (Ashley Mangrich Taliaferro), grandchildren, Ian Kyger, Abigail Kyger, Jackson Taliaferro, and Emma Taliaferro. His sisters and brothers, Linda Kay Lybrand (Edward Lybrand), Teresa Ann Neves (Jerry Neves), Lloyd Clayton Taliaferro, David Charles Taliaferro (Niki Taliaferro), Kenneth Russell Taliaferro (Natalie Taliaferro) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Audrey Taliaferro, mother Mary Helen (Slaten) Taliaferro and sister, Dorthy Nell "Nellie" Taliaferro.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, January 3rd, 2025, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, Colleyville, TX.
