Mr. Derek William Baird

Derek Baird, of Colleyville, TX, passed away on November 12th, 2021 in Bedford, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandpa, son, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on July 2nd, 1959 in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland to William and Marie Baird.

Derek graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1977 and married in 1983 to Connie. Derek truly loved life to the fullest. He was the ultimate soccer coach, proud member of the Red Cup Club, loved all Notre Dame sports teams and watching European soccer. You could always count on him to give you the best directions but never wanted to be in the car with him while driving. One of the best qualities about Derek was that he never met a stranger. He treated everyone as if they were family. As a takeaway, always remember to leave a Derek size tip.

Derek is survived by wife, Connie Baird; daughters, Candace Baird (Christian), Jordan Del Hierro (Nolan), and Heather Easterling (Dustin); sisters, Valerie Hubbard (Van) and Adrienne Stokes (Rick); granddaughter, Collins Jones; father-in-law, Joe Henry; brother-in-law, Mike Henry (Tammy). Further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be held from 5 - 7 o'clock p.m. on Friday November 19th, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills. Private burial will be held on a later date.
