Don was born July 26, 1948, to W.A. and Melba Welborn in Fort Worth. He was a graduate of Richland High School, class of 67. Don served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He had many passions throughout his life such as hunting, fishing and golfing. Don enjoyed watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Texas Longhorns and TCU. Don retired with over 30 years of service at Lockheed Martin.
Survivors: Daughter, Holly Welborn; brothers William A. “Bert” Welborn III, Jerry Welborn and his wife, Kay; two nephews; two nieces; one great-nephew; two great-nieces; along with a host of extended family members and friends.
