It is with heavy but grateful hearts that we announce that Donna Penna Tolsdorf has been called to be with the Lord. Her final wish of going home was granted on May 9, 2022, and heaven has a new angel.
Donna was born June 2, 1932, in Robinson, Illinois to Mary and Phillip Penna. She came to Texas at the age of 5.
Donna graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1949. She was united with the love of her life, WIlliam Tolsdorf, on January 23, 1950. They were happily married for 1 month shy of 63 years.
She was the quintessential Granny who loved working with her hands. Donna enjoyed crocheting hats for the homeless, ceramics, painting beautiful pictures, being the “cookie lady”, word searches, fishing and traveling. However, the light of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife and wonderful mother to her 2 sons, Donald (Edna) and Larry (Gisela), 2 grandchildren Jeremy Tolsdorf (Cynthia) and Kimberly Webb (Sean), numerous great-grandchildren and one special granddog, Duke
See ya down the road!
