Doris Mae Meserve

Doris Meserve, of Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 27th in North Richland Hills, Texas, at the age of 93. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on August 4, 1926 in Picher, Oklahoma to Othel and Erma Clark.

After graduating from High School, Doris went to Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis Missouri for her nurses training to be an R.N. when she met her husband, Sam, who was the brother of her roommate. They were married on July 25, 1948 in Fenton, Missouri. She worked as a nurse at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Doris was also a school nurse, was active in her church and enjoyed reading and knitting. Most of all, she loved God, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her son, Joe Meserve and wife Ofelia of Jacksonville , Florida; son, Mike Meserve and wife Joy of North Richland Hills, Texas; son, Jim Meserve and wife Elaine of North Richland Hills, Texas; daughter-in-law, Marycharles Meserve of Fort Worth, Texas; son-in-law, George (Bear) Mulder of Austin, Texas; sister, Pat Tyrrell and husband Holmes of St. Louis, Missouri; sister-in-law, Vera Clark of Fenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Benet Reed, Gretchen Reed, Richard Meserve, Joe Meserve, Kathy Edmondson, Sam Meserve, Paul Meserve, Alex Mulder, Cassie Mulder, Elizabeth Meserve, Danny Meserve and David Meserve; great-grandchildren, Olivia Reed, Sydney Meserve, Kalyn Edmondson, Kinley Edmondson, Riley Meserve, Max Mulder and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam Meserve, son, David Meserve, daughter, Sharon Mulder, brothers, Wayne Clark and Leonard Clark.

The visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30th at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 1st at Pantego (Central) Bible Church, 8001 Anderson Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas 76120. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with a luncheon to follow at North Richland Hills Baptist Church, 6955 Blvd. 26, North Richland Hills, Texas 76180.
