

Edna was born to Lester Lambertson and Elsie Lambertson on February 8, 1937, in Denver, Colorado. Being raised in a farmhouse in Eastlake, Colorado by Great Depression era parents, Edna experienced Depression-Era and World War II hardships as a small child, creating indelible memories and casting a practical, caring, sensible and generous character. She was pre-deceased by her brother Leroy Lambertson and is survived by her brother Glen Lambertson, husband John Malmstrom, sons David and Eric Malmstrom, and 5 grandchildren: Justin, Brandon, Makaela, Madison, and Jackson Malmstrom.
Edna graduated from Brighton High School and received a college degree from Colorado State University where she met her love, John Malmstrom. They were married in Greeley, Colorado in 1960 and moved to Corvallis, Oregon, where he was serving as Base Veterinarian in the U. S. Air Force. Sons David and Eric were born in Oregon and Colorado, respectively. The family moved to Nebraska for 10 years and then to Hurst, Texas in 1974. Edna resumed her Occupational Therapy career in the 1980’s and retired after the closure of Saint Joseph Hospital. She and John moved to Trinity Terrace in 2017.
Edna was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority, succeeded by her granddaughter Makaela Malmstrom. As a long-term member of the Colleyville Chapter P.E.O. International Women’s Organization, Edna was passionate about supporting and motivating women to advance through education. In addition to being devoted to raising her family, Edna was a 40-year member of Tri City Promenaders Square Dance Club and a 25 year member of First Presbyterian Church in Grapevine, Texas She participated in many activities at Trinity Terrace and most recently, served as Coordinator of the Low Vision Group.
Visitation will be from 6:00-800 PM on Thursday, June 26 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Edna's life will be held in the Chapel at Trinity Terrace at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9th.
