Mrs. Ella Wayne Spalding

Mrs. Ella Wayne Spalding, 84, of Watauga, Texas passed away on April 7, 2023 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Nogales, Texas on January 27, 1939. She grew up on the school campus of the rural Glover community near Weches, Texas at which her father was the school superintendent. Ella graduated high school in Glover in 1957. Later, Ella had two children, Teresa and David, with her former husband.

Ella married Duane Spalding in 1984. She worked for many years as a Physical Therapy Aide. After retiring, Ella, who loved children, worked part-time taking care of children for a few different families. Family always came first for Ella and she was happiest spending time with family and friends. Ella loved cooking, gardening, and listening to good music. Ella was a long-time member of Way of Life Church in Hurst, Texas and really enjoyed being part of the church community.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband Duane Spalding. She is survived by her children Teresa Mauldin and husband Darrell, son David Mancil and partner Steve Allen, sisters Cora Jane Hogan and Mary Ann Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Ella will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM at The Way Of Life Church, 1332 Yates Drive, Hurst, TX 76053. It will be followed by her funeral, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Ella's services will conclude with a procession from the church to Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034 for a 1:00 PM burial.
