

Emma Lee Starr was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Emma will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Doug and Ann Rivers.
She had two brothers, Reed and Will. Emma was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Emma had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Emma enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Emma was able to manage the balancing act. After high school Emma attended the Court Reporting Institute of Dallas and the Paul Mitchell School of Dallas.
Emma worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs.
Fortunately, Emma enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Emma worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was cosmetolgy. She loved working as a free-lance makeup artist. Emma always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Emma passed away on March 4, 2016 at Azle, Texas. She is survived by her son, Ryan Starr, her mother, Ann Rivers, her brothers Reed Rivers and Will Rivers, her step father Chris Snyder, her Grandmother Margaret Shuffield, her fiancé Chris Zamora and a large loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins and her niece, Audrey and nephew, Nolan. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Emma was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Emma leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Emma Lee Starr.

Emma Lee was a compassionate woman, she always wanted to put her needs in front of everyone else’s. She was happy when everyone else was happy. Her smile could light up the room and melt your heart. She had a gift for accepting anyone into her heart regardless of their misgivings or their problems, she simply loved to help others. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Emma Lee Starr.
