Emmett Douglas Preuss passed away Sunday December 27, 2020. He was 97 years old. Our Father was born on August 4, 1923 to Elmer and Mildred Preuss in Milwaukee Wisconsin. As a young boy, he became fascinated by flying.
When World War II broke out, he joined the Army and became a member of the Army Air Corp. His love of flying never ended however, he went on to join the Wisconsin National Guard and continued to fly.
In 1957, he married June Coleman and they had 3 children. Douglas, Matthew and Stephan. He worked for the Federal Government until he retired in 1986. The main theme throughout his life was family. Whether that was remembering those from his past or trying to figure out how to take care of those closest to him at present. He is survived by his three sons and 1 granddaughter.
