Eric was dry and sarcastic, always cracking jokes that caught you off-guard no matter how long you've known him. He graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, majoring in Political Science. While living in Austin, he gave money to the homeless, despite being a broke college student. Later in his life, Eric found renewed interest in his education and returned to school to pursue his passion in Computer Science. Eric was always proud of his achievements, from being Bronze in the game League of Legends to programming. Heated games of Dungeons and Dragons were lead by Eric, who assumed the esteemed position of Dungeon Master. As Dungeon Master, he loved telling stories and creating worlds. He worked at Office Depot for three years and was always causing shenanigans. A fan favorite is when he taped a picture of his head to the back of his manager's monitor so that it was peeking over the top. Eric was a passionate advocate of equality, saying,"I look forward to the day where all of us, white and black, can stop the cycle of hatred and violence and join together to hate the real enemy: the crab people." He was preceded in death by his sister Meghan Diane Weeks, his Mimi and Papa Janice and Gene McDonald. Survivors are his mother Sandra Virella, step father Cesar, his sister Haley Virella; aunt, Kathy McDonald; and best friend Matt Owens, along with several other close friends.
