

She was born in Henderson, Texas to Joseph and Polly (Martin) Montgomery. Faye completed high school in Weleetka, Oklahoma. After marrying Bob Rutledge the couple moved to Dallas, then Euless, Texas where they raised their family. They were happily married for 57 years.
Faye was well known for her work ethic, faith and service. These attributes were passed on to her sons and grandchildren. She worked several years with the HEB school district in the cafeteria at Oakwood Terrace Elementary School before her retirement.
Bob and Faye were Charter Members of the North Euless Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending bible study classes and joined with several of her church friends in volunteering at the Northeast Emergency Distribution Center (N.E.E.D.) in Hurst, Texas. She also enjoyed attending her high school reunions and spending time with her family.
Faye is survived by four sons; Mike and Catherine Rutledge, Dennis and Emily Rutledge, Tim and Sheila Rutledge and Paul and Karen Rutledge. Grandchildren/Step-grandchildren include Jeff and Jennifer Rutledge, Zach and Michelle Rutledge, Cody and Caymen (Rutledge) Keen, Jordan and Sarah (Rutledge) Smith, Hannah Rutledge, Abigail Rutledge, Paul and Sarah Gilmartin Joe and Kathrin Dillon, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Donny Rutledge, parents Joseph and Polly Montgomery, siblings Tom Montgomery, J.A. Montgomery, Cleo Montgomery, Ruby Montgomery-Graham and Lola Montgomery-Ingram.
The Visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Friday, February 5th 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. The Funeral Service will be at 3pm. Interment will follow at 4pm in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
