He was born on October 1, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas to Gerald (Slats) Bunce and Doris (June) Bunce. He married the love of his life Cheryl Saucerman in 1968. He moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area in 1991 and started Bunce Trucking where he became a linehaul contractor for Fedex Ground. He loved his family, his friends, his race car, and all of his big toys. He was a big animal lover, too. He retired with his wife in 2015 to their new home in Haslet, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of the home; daughter, Cristy (Andy) Reynolds of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeff) Brown of Denton, Texas and Aaron Reynolds of Haslet, Texas; great grandson, Levi Brown and brother, Kelly Russell of Platte City, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Gerald will be Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd; Colleyville, Texas 76034.
