Gerald Dax Pummill

Dax was born in Muleshoe, Texas. He was a graduate of L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas and a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville,Texas. He served in the U.S. Army for over fourteen years in active duty and for over two years in reserve duty, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dax was branched as a Corps of Engineers Officer, and he was a decorated veteran of

Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He worked in civil service as a Facility Operations Specialist at Defense Acquisition University at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. His favorite interests included Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He passed peacefully with family at bedside in Falls Church, Virginia at the age of 41.

He is survived by his two parents, three siblings, and wife. Funeral services will be at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills, Texas with burial at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Please contact the family for further detail about services, if needed.
