Gilbert Dean King, 90, of Hurst, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2023. He was born in Britton, Oklahoma on January 10, 1933. Gil graduated from Northside High School in Fort Worth, TX. He was married to Ellen Laverne King on September 24, 1982
Gil worked at Purina Mills in inventory management, flooring sales, taught real estate courses and was a funeral assistant for Bluebonnet Hills.
He was a member at Legacy Church of Christ, and had a passion for teaching others about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ellen Laverne King; his daughter, Vickie Cothran and husband Lee; his son, Rick and wife Becky; son Larry and wife Nita; Ellen’s daughter, Linda Letz and husband Fred; Ellen’s son, John Willbanks, Jr. and wife Donna; Ellen’s daughter, Karen Thornton and husband Jeff; Ellen’s daughter Cindy Willbanks; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be held on June 8th at Legacy Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. Visitation will begin at 1pm and the funeral service will begin at 2pm followed by the graveside service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
