Grace "Gay" Pike, 91, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016. Grace was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Northampton, England, to Amy and George Penn. She was preceded in death by James, her husband of 59 years, who she met while he was serving overseas in the Army Air Corps. Grace was a British war bride who came to America via passage on the Queen Mary in 1946. She became an adopted Texan and with her husband and children made the Fort Worth area her home for 70 years. She was a beloved mother and housewife, and a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was cherished for her winning smile, quick wit, deep compassion, loyalty to friends, and especially her devotion to family. She was a member of Church of England and St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Survivors: Daughters, Marilyn, Linda and Debbie (Barry); sons, Jim (Sherry) and Larry; grandchildren, Stacie (Don), Janet (Howard), Beth (Kandice), J.C., Brian (Laura), Madison, Matt (Morgan); six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Claudette and Sue.
