Mrs. Helen Ruth Washington

Helen was born in Purdon, Texas on December 13, 1926 to Harvey Reed Walters and Hazel Johnston.

She graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1945 in Iowa Park, Texas. Helen married Kenneth Floyd Washington on October 23, 1947.

She made her life out of caring for her two children, and taking care of their home. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church Hurst in Hurst, Texas. She had a passion for taking care of her family and being the homemaker she was. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, ceramics, crafts and shopping.

Helen is preceded in passing by her husband, Kenneth Floyd Washington; sister, Leverne Harrington of Iowa Park, Texas; and granddaughter Kimberly Dutton of Dallas, Texas who passed away in 1979.

She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Dutton (Robert); son, Marvin Washington (Penny); grandchildren, Eddie Dutton (Carolina), Steve Dutton (Caroline), Drew Washington (Amber); and great- grandchildren, Owen, Miles, and Ofeila-Maya, and Mazen and Dalia Lamarre.

A visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.

Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
