

Howard was born to parents, Howard and Virginia O’Shell in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1945.
His whole career, Howard was an educator. He dedicated 31 years to working with the children in the Upper St. Clair School District of Pennsylvania.
He developed special programs and was presented several Presidential Recognitions for all of his accomplishments and achievements in Environmental Education Development.
Despite his courageous battle against a protracted illness, Howard was a kind soul. He was ever grateful for those that helped care for him.
A devoted and loving husband, and father, Howard will be dearly missed by those blessed to have known him.
Howard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Roxanne O’Shell; son, Howard O’Shell III; sister, Gladys Magnus; Kathy Magnus and Virginia Magnus, their children and numerous family friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
