

Jack Gordon Parker, age 82, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, at 10am at Church at the Cross in Grapevine. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, from 4:30pm to 7pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Born on September 12, 1934 in Big Spring, Texas, he met his wife, Marielle Dianne in Monahans, Texas and wed in 1957. Mr. Parker served in the military and later graduated from UT at El Paso with a BSEE in 1966. He worked for the FAA for 35 years as an electrical engineer. Jack and Dianne have resided in Grapevine, Texas for 43 years while raising a family and being heavily involved with the community. He enjoyed flying general aviation aircraft, radio controlled model planes, working on projects in his workshop, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycles. Most of all he loved and served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Marielle Dianne Parker, his three children, Mark (Sandy) Parker, Cynthia Parker (Phil) Lee and Cristin Parker (Bryan) Turner; sisters, Kathryn Jacobs and Mary K. McKinney; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Elsen, Jarred Lee, Amy Parker, Jackie (Asher) Vaughn, Nicole Turner, Maggie Turner and Jack Henry Turner.
