Jack Sheedy, of Azle, Texas, passed away on August 31, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on June 2, 1927 in Cline, Texas to Ralph and Hazel Sheedy. Jack served his country in World War II as part of the 1253rd Engineer Combat Battalion. Jack and his wife of 61 years, Leota, loved their families and devoted as much time as possible to them. They loved travelling to visit family and attend family reunions. Jack and Leota also forged very special bonds with and loved their church family at Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Azle, Texas. Jack is survived by his son, Steve Sheedy and his wife, Cyndi Sheedy of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandson, Jarrett Sheedy and his wife, Victoria Sheedy, of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister-in-law, Lola Sheedy of San Antonio, Texas; and his brother-in-law, Albert Walls of Bakersfield, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leota Sheedy; his parents, Ralph and Hazel Sheedy; his brothers Ralph, Noland, Lamar (known as “Doc”), David, and Dwight; and his sisters Josephine, Corine, and Annie.
