Jayden Xavier Simmons, 15 years old, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away after a five year courageous battle with osteosarcoma on January 22, 2024 at 4:12am. He was born in McKinney, Texas on July 17, 2008. Jayden attended Hebron High School. He served Jesus passionately, loved all things sports, loved his FamBam, and did several charity events raising awareness for childhood cancer. Heroes for Children, Salood, Hope Kids, and the Gregg Pearson Foundation were some of the major charity organizations he was a part of. Jayden played football, basketball, and baseball.
He was survived by his mother Ashley Selby-Karney, dog-brother Chico, Grandfather Steve Karney, Grandmother Carolyn Selby, Uncle Ryan Selby-Karney, Aunt Samantha Selby-Karney, Cousins Cooper, Abby, and Walker, Uncle Troy Selby-Karney, Aunt Haley Martinez, Uncle Jose Martinez, Cousins, Gracelynn and Evelyn, Aunt Domanic Griffin, Cousins Aamir, Jarren, Elijah, Aubrey, and Yadi, God-parents Jamarie and Stefanie Howard, God-sisters, Emery and Kamery, God-brother Jamarie the 2nd.
Funeral arrangements will be held Friday, February 2nd at 1pm at Covenant
Church, 2644 E. Trinity Mills Rd. Carrollton, Texas 75006.
