She was born in Weatherford, Texas, on July 12, 1963, to Bill and Nancy Jordan, whom she loved deeply and dearly. Jeannie graduated from Weatherford High School, went on to earn her graduate degree from Texas Tech University, and later completed her master’s degree at TCU.
On March 17, 1990, she married Dan Dietschy. Together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and laughter. Jeannie had a successful and respected career as a business manager at Microsoft, where she was deeply admired by her colleagues for her kindness, sharp thinking, and steady presence. But her most cherished role by far was being a mom to her two children, Sara Dietschy and John Dietschy. She poured her heart into raising them and often said it was her greatest calling. Becoming “Granny D” to her granddaughter brought her immeasurable joy. Jeannnie spent the final year of her life soaking up every moment with her — a gift to them both.
Jeannie was very involved in her local church as well as a devoted member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), where she deepened her faith and formed lifelong friendships. She brought warmth, grace, and intentional love into every space she entered — always with a listening ear, a perfectly timed laugh, or a thoughtful gesture. She made everyone feel like the most important person in the room.
She is survived by her husband Dan, her children Sara and John, her granddaughter, her brother Judd Jordan, her sister Judy Jordan and parents Bill and Nancy Jordan. She also leaves behind extended family, dear friends, and a legacy of love that will live on through the many lives she touched.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas.
