Ms. Jenna L. Mathews

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Carrol Mathews; and brother, Bill Simpson. She graduated from high school in Fort Worth, and attended Texas Women’s University in Denton. She was married to Carrol Glen Mathews on October 22, 1949. Jenna worked many years as an administrative assistant for various entities including the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Fort Worth Christian College, The Hills Church in Fort Worth, and American Airlines. She was a member of Smithfield Church of Christ, The Hills Church, and Creekside Church in Midlothian. She was a member and officer of the Associated Women for Christian Education organization which supported Fort Worth Christian School. She had a passion for making friends wherever she found herself at church, work, and in the neighborhood. She loved both family history and family members, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors: Jenna is survived by her three sons, Steve and his wife, Carol, Kent and his wife, Susie and Thomas and his wife, Kat; grandchildren, Erin Crowe and husband, Loren, Courtney Shaw and husband Zach, Meredith Blair and husband, Jordan, Blair Mathews, Leigh Rodriguez and husband, Raul, and Alyssa Mathews; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Penny, and Dominik Crowe, Jude Blair, Avery Mathews, Mateo, Noe, and C.G.Rodriguez, Tucker and Stevie Louise Shaw.

Viewing will be at 2 PM and a memorial service at 3 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville, Tx 76034, on Wednesday, December 14.
