Mrs. Jimmie Sue (Blount) Woodard

Jimmie was born in Alabama to James Anderson and Sue Elizabeth Blount. She was the second to the oldest of four children and the only daughter. Jimmie grew up in Alabama and then moved to Texas as a young woman where she met and married William Robert Woodard. They were married for 58 years and together they had four children. Jimmie was a stay at home mom and was very involved in her children’s lives. She was a Girl Scout leader and a Brownie Leader. She attended her children’s football games, band and choir concerts and many other activities that her children were involved in. She enjoyed hosting slumber parties and pool parties for her children and always made sure everyone had a good time. She was a very good cook and always had a clean and welcoming home.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents James and Sue Blount, her husband William Robert Woodard, and her son Gary Woodard.

Jimmie is survived by her daughter Susan Woodard Crain, son Robert Woodard, daughter Vickie Woodard, step daughter Kacy Bergman, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her brother, Larry Blount, 2 close nephews, Terry and Greg Blount, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many close friends.
