Jimmy David 'J.D.' Sims, 76, of Colleyville, TX passed away on September 2, 2017. He was born on February 9, 1941 in Nocona, TX. J.D. is survived by his wife, Janis Davis Sims. He was preceded in death by his father, David 'Dave' Samuel Sims and is survived by his mother, Lou Sims of Fort Worth. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Gary Sims & wife, Pam of Garland, Danny B. Sims & wife, Vicki of Abilene and Michael 'Mike' Sims of Fort Worth. J.D. is survived by daughter, KaSondra Hughes & husband, Bobby and sons, David Sims & wife, Sharon and Danny R. Sims & wife, Sharlene all of Decatur and daughter Maggie Perez & husband, Ray of Aledo. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. J.D. was a mechanic and gunsmith and was the owner of Performance Jet Boats in Dallas for 28 years and co-owner of S&S Precision in Argyle for 12 years.
