Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, Colleyville. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation prior to service from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
Brooks was originally from Arizona. He and his family moved to Texas in the early 1980s. He was a tough and courageous man, fighting his illness until the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Schlotfeld; and daughter, Stacey Schlotfeld.
Survivors: Wife, Connie Schlotfeld, daughter, Lindy Schlotfeld; grandchildren, Ryan Schlotfeld and Chris Williams; sister and her husband, Patti and Dave Haga, brother-in-law, Ron Moreland, nieces, Stephanie Larmore, Christy Mercer, Jennifer Simmons, and Erin Haga; other family, four great-nieces and four great-nephews.
