Joy was born in Burkburnett, Texas on August 31, 1930 to Henry and Sophie Steinert. She graduated high school in her hometown. She later moved to Fort Worth where she met the love of her life and husband Bobbie McLeod.
She was a stay at home mother and she enjoyed traveling, many different arts and crafts and was very active in her church. Above all, she loved her family dearly and always remained close to her three sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Joy is survived by her two children Gena and husband Zane, Gary and wife Pamela, her sister Betty, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The visitation service will be from 6-8 pm on July 17, 2017 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. The funeral service also at Bluebonnet Hills, will be at 10am on July 18, 2017.
