Judy Suter-King, age 77, of Bedford, TX, passed away on Monday November 29th, 2021. She was born on August 30, 1944 in Amarillo Texas to Margaret (Hester) Antilley and Lt. Col. Thomas Leonard Antilley. Judy was a proud Air Force brat, and as a child embraced the adventure of living in many different places, including 3 years in Hemel Hempstead, England. She developed many lifelong friendships around the world through her bright, out-going personality. Judy graduated 9th in her class of 400 at Lompoc High School, in Lompoc, California and then earned her business degree from Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California.
On July 11, 1964, she married Jesse B Suter and shortly after they were blessed with their daughter, Debbie, on Judy’s 22nd birthday in 1966. Three years following, they were once again blessed with their son David in 1969. Judy loved being a stay-at-home mom and was involved with her kid’s activities as they grew up, including Sunday school, bluebird leader, cub scout leader, PTA president, room mother, dance mom, band mom and teacher’s aide. As Debbie and David grew older, Judy entered the workforce with American Cyanamid for many years as a regional coordinator and then was the partners assistant for Maguire Partners.
Judy met the love of her life Jack King in 1988 and they were married on June 2nd, 1990. Judy excitedly gained a stepson John and a stepdaughter Laurie. Judy and Jack love their large, blended family and held many family parties at their home. Most weeks they could be found going to watch all their 9 grandchildren’s activities. They also enjoyed travelling together for weekend getaways, mostly in the hill country. As Judy’s dementia progressed, Jack was always by her side caring for her, as were her kids and her dogs, Jake and Buddy.
Judy was always quick to brag on her children and grandchildren. In addition, she loved to hear other people’s life stories and she never met a stranger. She will truly be missed.
