Mr. Kenneth Ray Potts

Kenneth Ray Potts, of Keller, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He will always be remembered as a loving father to all that knew and loved him. He was born on December 7, 1929 in Eric, Oklahoma to Arthur and Addie Potts. Kenneth enlisted in the US Army August 28, 1948 where he served as a Corporal in the medical field working overseas in Tokyo, Japan during the Korean War. He received an Honorable Discharge on June 16, 1952. After his military service ended, he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he met and married his wife Jeneta Louise Goforth on July 1, 1955. He and his wife raised two daughters, Brenda and LaWanda in Richland Hills, Texas. He became a devoted Christian and always placed family in high regard. He was an ordained deacon in the Baptist church and a very Godly man. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and vacationing in his motor home. He was also a true Dallas Cowboys and Texas Ranger fan.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Jeneta whom he loved very much, and is survived by his daughters Brenda Miller and LaWanda Bessey, along with their spouses Jeffrey Miller and Michael Bessey. He is also survived by his grand children Christy Hargroves, Trey Hargroves, Sheree Hodges, Shawna Wessel, Travis Miller, Joshua Miller, Jaden Miller, Nikki Miller, Ethan Miller, Collin Bessey, Logan Bessey, many great grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 o’clock p.m. on Monday April 6th at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. There will be a graveside burial immediately following the viewing that will be handled according to state quarantine guidelines for COVID-19. The burial will be broadcast by Bluebonnet Memorial Park via FaceBook. We hope to have a memorial service for Kenneth later after the virus outbreak passes.
