

Ken grew up in the small town of Kelton in the Texas Panhandle. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1955, served in the Army, and received a law degree from SMU in 1960. He was Assistant District Attorney in Arlington for three years. He moved to Hurst in 1964 and opened his own law office, practicing family law and eventually adding a title company. He served as Municipal Court Judge for the City of Hurst for 52 years (1964 – 2016). He was also a judge in surrounding cities.
Ken had an infectious sense of humor and a penchant for telling jokes. He was quite the musician playing many instruments and especially enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing, boating and playing 42 dominos. Ken cherished numerous close relationships and professional connections throughout his lifetime.
He was a proud father of four children; Karen Yates (Julian), Sharon Whiteley (CJ Jannasch), Jonathan Whiteley (Sheri), Keely Whiteley (Danny DeVore), and two grandchildren; Cole Bradley and Maya Whiteley.

Memorial Service will occur Friday, March 22nd, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
