
Kevin Michael Schreiner of Southlake, Texas passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016. Kevin was born in Lexington, Missouri in 1963 to L. Bernard Schreiner and Agnes Hartmann Schreiner. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1981 and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Central Missouri in 1983. Kevin then worked at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO. Afterward, Kevin graduated from DeVry University with a degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics Management Specialization in 1996. He was class valedictorian. From 1996 until 2009, Kevin worked for the Federal Reserve in Kansas City, MO as an Application Analyst and Programmer. He continued working as an independent programmer until his passing. Kevin was a member of the Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman, computer gamer, sports card trader, and billiards player. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Kevin is survived by his parents, Bernard and Agnes Schreiner of Lexington, MO; brother, Dale Schreiner and wife Johnna of Lexington, MO; sister, Karen Schreiner Allen and husband Scott of Southlake, TX; daughter, Devin Schreiner of Overland Park, KS; step-son, Tracy Laughery and wife Virginia of Blue Springs, MO; step-daughter, Meri Gregory and husband Charlie of Blue Springs, MO, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and his best friend, Janet Brown of Overland Park, KS. To honor Kevin, a service celebrating his life will be held in Lexington, MO in March. His cremated remains will be buried at Lexington Memory Gardens in Lexington, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or to Habitat for Humanity.
