

Celebration of life: A celebration of Kirk's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 1:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kirk's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn., or SpayNation for Dogs and Cats, 1640 North Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, La. 70506.
Kirk was the director of Diagnostic Imaging at Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound. He was known for his dedication to his job and coworkers, love of restoring cars and photography. Kirk was compassionate about his friends, animals and helping others. Above all, he was known for his love and dedication to his wife and three daughters.
Kirk was born on Dec. 21, 1962, at Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, La., to Bruce and Helene Fillers. He graduated from Haughton High School in 1981. He attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., and completed his studies in radiology technology at El Centro College, Dallas, in 1990.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the physicians, nurses and staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center-Grapevine ICU for their extraordinary care of Kirk and their family during their stay. They would like to thank all of the many friends and family who have shown overwhelming love and support during this difficult time.
Survivors: Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Alyson Rein Fillers; daughters, Katie Fillers, Annie Fillers and Emily Fillers, all of Grapevine; parents, Bruce and Helene Fillers of Haughton, La.; sister, Tonya Rigg of Jefferson; Alyson's parents, Dick and Judy Rein of Vivian, La. Kirk is loved and will be missed by numerous other close family members, friends, coworkers and colleagues.
