DENTON -- Laura Baker Parsons, 71, of Denton went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014. Service: Please join the family at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home to honor Laura's life. Laura was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Ennis to Woodrow and Margie Baker. She attended Richardson High School in Richardson, where she participated in the marching band and, in this time, also married the love of her life, Claude Parsons. On Oct. 9, 2014, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Laura enjoyed traveling, reading, history and cooking, but most importantly, she loved being a mother and grandmother. She taught the family how to smile and enjoy life. Her life was devoted to her family. Survivors: Her husband, Claude Parsons; daughters and their spouses, Kim and Ricky Hinojosa, Shari and Scott Brown, Julie and George Buxton; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild and two more arriving this year.
