Mary Strong Jones

      Mary Strong Jones was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Mary will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

      Simply stated, Mary was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Mary leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Mary Strong Jones.

Mary S. Jones, 56, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Mary was born October 25, 1960, in Denton, Texas. She graduated from Richardson High School. Mary went to Stephen F. Austin University where she graduated with a BS in Agriculture. She was a professional barrel racer for 30 years, a flight attendant for American Airlines 28 years, and she loved to play tennis. Mary is survived by her husband, Austin Jones. They celebrated 25 years of marriage. Together they have one son, A. Cannon Jones who is currently attending Dallas Baptist University where he is captain of the tennis team. Mary is preceded in death by her father, Robert Edward Strong and her mother, Jane Cannon Strong. To honor Mary's life: A viewing will be held at Bluebonnet Hills funeral home in Colleyville, Texas, on Friday, October 6, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bluebonnet Hills on Saturday, October 7, at 12:30p.m. The family will host a reception at their home following the service.
