

Mary Lou Soulé (Meza), 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Mary Lou was a native of El Paso, Texas. Throughout her life, she worked in a number of different roles, yet her true calling, and the work she valued most, was raising her children with unwavering love.
Mary Lou was born on September 9, 1935, to Ricardo and Elodia Meza. She married Louis Jesus Soulé in 1957, whom she lost just four short months ago. It brings her children solace to imagine their parents reunited in time to celebrate their upcoming anniversary together. They spent most of their lives in El Paso, Texas, and ultimately moved to Bedford, Texas. Mary Lou was a parishioner and active member of St. Michaels Church.
She leaves behind her children: Louis (Pamela), Adrienne (Danny Beller), Melissa (Allen Hutchason), Danny (Martha) and Joey (Jenny) Soulé. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Cassidi Ennen (Brett), Louis Hoops (Sarah Mondle), Ryan Hoops (Sahreena), Jake and Gina Beller, Alexandria Vazquez (Alejandro), Daniel, Jacqueline, Joshua Soulé, Paul (Shalon) Fenn and Katie (Ryan) Rainey. Her great grandchildren include Evelyn and Maria Ennen, Vivian Fox, Samuel Dallas, Mathew, Nathaniel, Osiris and Priana Soulé, Harper, Sloan and Rylee Rainey.
Mary Lou is predeceased by her beloved husband, parents, her brothers Humberto, Ricardo, Jesus, George and Ernesto, her sisters Isela and Dora and their spouses. She is also predeceased by her grandson, Jace Edward Dallas, whose memory she held with great tenderness.
Her life was marked by tremendous faith that grounded her through every season, and a deep, abiding love for her family that guided all she did. She carried herself with a quiet sophistication, a gracefulness in how she spoke, moved, and cared for others. She was a remarkable soul whose curiosity and creativity knew no bounds. From painting, belly dancing and yoga in the 70's she lived each day with a sense of joy and fearless individuality. She had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel loved, celebrated, and important. Above all else, she devoted her heart to the people she loved, creating a home warmed by her presence, her strength, and her unwavering belief in those around her.
Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren loved her deeply, will miss her profoundly, and will carry her love with them always.
A visitation and rosary will be held on November 25th at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. and the rosary will begin at 7 p.m.
Mary Lou's funeral mass will take place November 26th, 10:30 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church 3713 Harwood Rd. Bedford, TX 76021.
Later in the day, at 2:30 p.m., Mary Lou will be laid to rest at Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75211. If you plan on attending the burial, please arrive at the cemetery no later than 2:15 p.m.
