Munhui Yi, a dearly loved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, returned home to the embrace of her Father on 29 April 2023. She was born in Seoul, Korea on 17 January 1974. She immigrated to the US with her family at age of 14. She grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Stratford High School. She attended Baylor University and earned a degree in Fine Arts. After college she attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn for her Masters in Communications Design while working full time at a design agency in Manhattan.
It was during those years she met and fell in love with Min Yi. They were married on 27 March 2004 in Roslyn, NY and moved to the DFW area for Min's work. She bore two sons, Nathanael and Lucas. She continued working as an art director for various companies including JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, Mary Kay, Pier1, and At Home. She was an involved member of Global Harvest Church in Carrollton, TX where she formed her closest friendships.
Munhui was a gentle soul who was adored by her family and friends. She enjoyed simple and beautiful things in life and nature, with lifelong interest in the arts and design. She was fiercely loved by God and held firmly to his promises. She now has an eternal life by the work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
A service celebrating her earthly life will be held on 8 May 2023 at Global Harvest Church. Traditional black attire is optional, but family requests that you wear something pastel in her remembrance.
