Mrs. Nelda Beth Hickman

Nelda was born on November 12, 1941, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Northside High in 1960. She married shortly thereafter and began a family.

Nelda began her career working for Texas Electric Service Company and then pursued a career in the banking business. Nelda loved her customers and fellow bankers, creating many lifetime friendships. She retired in the early 2000s and then enjoyed volunteering for The Hills Food Pantry and Bass Hall. Nelda always enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Christ, a devoted mother, adoring Grandmother, and a soon to be Great Grandmother.

Nelda is preceded in death by her parents: Father, Thurman Cannon; Mother, Vera Shockey, and her husband George.

She is survived by her brother David Shockey and his wife Jo; Daughter, Deidra McMinn and her husband Kirk; Daughter, Alicia Davis and her husband Keith; Daughter, Patti Hastie and her husband Barney; Son, Richard Hickman and his wife Kim; Grandchildren: Tanner McMinn, Madison Salazar and her husband Jesse, Peyton Westrum and her husband Zachery, Cody Davis and Samantha Hopkins, Tyler Hickman, Kayla Hickman, and Barlee Hastie. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation for Nelda will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow immediately on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
