

Orvel (Red) Lovell, 91 and 10 months, of Grapevine, Tx, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in Grapevine. Visitation will be at 12:30 PM, Monday, February 16, 2026 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM followed by the burial.
Orvel was born in Cuthand, TX on March 18, 1934 to Jeff and Virgie Lovell. Red was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years and his 5 siblings. Red began life in East Texas and later his family moved to Chillicothe for work. From there, Red served in the Army for 2 years as a vehicle mechanic in the Territory of Alaska during 1955-1957, along with his twin brother Ovel (Cotton) Lovell.
He married Shirley on February 14, 1958. They had two children: Keith Lovell and Lisa Lovell Brown. Red was a commercial union carpenter and was a member of Local 429-Carpenters and Joiners of America for 56 years.
Red enjoyed church (Church at the Cross), spending time with his family, adoring his grandchildren, playing “42” dominoes, golf and going to the casino. He also enjoyed travel with family and friends.
He is survived by his two children and their families: Son-Keith Lovell (wife Debbie) and Daughter- Lisa Brown (husband, Darrell).
Seven grandchildren:
Chase Lovell (wife Jessica), Lauren Franco (husband Tyler), Kendra Fletcher, Makenzie Perales (husband Alex), Mallory Denis (husband Andre), Meagan Wright (husband Tyler), Madeline Wade (husband Griffin).
Red had 11 (almost 12) great grandchildren:
Channing, Tony, Kylie, Jaxson Lovell
Lilly, Koby, Elvis, Stewart, Florence Franco
Elijah and Emilia Perales
