Patricia Ellen Lybrand

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 on July 14 at the Brown Trail Church of Christ building.

Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, July13 from 6:00-8:00.

Pat was born in Dallas, Texas on January 8, 1935. She married William Lybrand on April 28,1961. They were married 56 years. After her children started school, Patricia resumed her college education and completed a degree in psychology from the University of North Texas. Her primary interest was her home and family, but Patricia would occasionally work outside the home as opportunity allowed- such as working at retail stores during Christmas to buy extra presents or as a bookkeeper at Dallas Christian School to help pay for her children's tuition. She also assisted her husband in his business ventures. She was a talented artist, specializing in painting china and porcelain. She certified and earned a seal for the International Porcelain Artists and Teachers and won many ribbons at the Texas State Fair.

Even more than her family, though, Pat loved the Lord and His Church. She was a faithful member of the church of Christ and spent many hours furthering its cause. Her faith was shown by her works. She drove people to doctors' appointments, taught children's and ladies' classes, and spent many hours volunteering for "The Truth in Love" television program.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Lucile Peteet and a grandson, Joshua Preston Lybrand.

She is survived by a devoted husband, William Lybrand of Grapevine, Texas; her children, Anna (Gaylen) Manchester, Will (Laura) Lybrand and Greg (Mellissa) Lybrand; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Heather) Manchester, Amy (Justin) Tischler, Zachary (Sasha) Lybrand, Nick Lybrand, Justin Manchester, Emily Manchester and ArMei Lybrand. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Mohundro of Charlotte, North Carolina, one great grandchild, loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to "The Truth in Love" television program or the Brown Trail School of Preaching.
