Pearl Rowell Mitchell

Pearl Marie (Rowell) Mitchell, age 98 of Denton, Texas entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Ms. Pearl (as she was lovingly called by everyone who knew and loved her) was born on August 27, 1916 in Kaufman, Texas, the daughter of Hugh and Elsie Rowell. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed life to the fullest. She and her husband and best friend of 55 years, Woodrow Wilson Mitchell served the Lord in many capacities in their church and community and she was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Keller, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 6 brothers and sisters and grandson Scott McGovern. Pearl is survived by 2 daughters; Charlotte McGovern and husband Ken of Denton, Texas and Patricia Chapman and husband Clark of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kevin McGovern and wife Tracy, Kerry McGovern and wife Bonnie, Robyn Miller, Mark Chapman, Tim Chapman, and Kathryn Chapman; 9 great grandchildren, Stephanie Gargus and husband Eric, Will Miller and wife Marilyn, Jared Miller and wife Brittany, Jackson McGovern, Emma McGovern, Grayson McGovern, Hunter McGovern, Jacob Chapman and Madeline Chapman; 3 great-great grandchildren, Alena Gargus, Nikolas Gargus and Gavin Miller; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held prior to services on Saturday, February 28th from 11:00 to 12:00 with services following at 12:30 at Bluebonnet Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034. Internment following at Bluebonnet Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
