Ryan Edward Ringelman, of Southlake, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2026, in Keller, Texas. He will be remembered as an amazing father, husband, son, brother and friend. Ryan never met a stranger and was loved by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
Ryan was born on December 12, 1976, in Topeka, Kansas to James and Margaret Ringelman. He graduated from Hayden High School in Topeka, Kansas. He attended Marquette University, where he met his wife Cailin. Following graduation, they both moved to Topeka, Kansas: Ryan to work for his dad’s HVAC company and Cailin to attend law school. Ryan regularly told friends that the greatest sales job he ever did was not getting Cailin to marry him but getting her to move to Topeka. After paying the bills for three years while Cailin went in law school, he decided it was his turn to go and graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2005. Ryan was a brilliant and accomplished lawyer, a trusted and respected colleague. He was a recognized leader in the rail safety industry.
Despite all of his accolades at work, Ryan’s greatest accomplishment was his son Joseph. He was very proud of Joseph and the wonderful young man that he is now and will continue to become. He instilled in Joseph a love of learning and respect for others. Ryan loved coaching Joseph’s sports teams and cheering him on from the sidelines at his games, and there were a lot of games. Even after it became hard for him to attend Joseph’s events in person, he always wanted the play-by-play after the event. He will now be watching and guiding Joseph from his front row seat in Heaven.
Ryan is survived by his wife Cailin and son Joseph of Southlake, Texas; father James Ringelman of Topeka, Kansas; brother David Ringelman of Denver, Colorado; sister Jodi (Jim) Davis of San Diego, California; grandfather Donald Lee of Topeka, Kansas; and his nieces and nephews Brendon, Kyra, Hale, Ryan Elizabeth, and Charlotte. He leaves behind many wonderful friends, too numerous to name here. He was preceded in death by mother Margaret Ringelman; paternal grandmother Rose Lee; and maternal grandparents Elizabeth and Henry Plumberg. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4-7pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Good Shepherd Catholic Community, Colleyville, Texas, with a rosary to begin at 10:15am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or the Joseph Ringelman education fund. Please make checks payable to Joseph Ringelman in care of Bennington State Bank, Topeka, Kansas.
